This is a streaming capture of the live demo that was conducted during the 2010 ITEC conference held in London. Wayne Buck, who is the Modeling & Simulation Analyst for the Allied Command Transformation, presents the technology to a group of conference attendees watching the demo at the NATO booth at ITEC. Matt Spruill participates from the SAIC booth, and describes the concepts behind the use case and “scavenger hunt” which was developed in Phase I. Brent Smith (CTO) and Shane Taber (Art Director) participate in the demonstration from ECS headquarters in Orlando, FL.

This video is an excerpt from the Advanced Concepts in Learning Technology Demonstration (ACLTD) which was held by DAU and ECS in early 2010. This portion of the demonstration discusses the “Virtual Field Trip” capability within the Nexus Virtual World, as developed for the Department of Homeland Security for training personnel responsible for assessing and evaluating security at critical infrastructure locations.

This is a video capture of a live demonstration of the capability for synchronous training using role-players and instructors for Cultural Awareness Training within a Nexus Virtual World. NOTE: The viewpoint is from a “spectator” user, whose avatar is intentionally translucent, allowing them to observe the trainees in an unobtrusive manner, while still having a tangible presence in the virtual world.

This video provides an overview of the Nexus Virtual World which was developed for NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT).
