ECS is seeking a skilled 3D modeler who has experience developing realistic immersive training applications using Unity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Unity, developing a range of 3D models and assets, but most specifically hard-surface models. ECS seeks a self-starter with initiative, and great communications skills who will work well on an agile development team. This position falls under the supervision of the Development Director. This is a full-time position, working out of the Orlando Headquarters, with the option to work virtually/remotely if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support development of an immersive, interactive, 3D simulations and serious games by working with artists, programmers, and subject matter experts to generate assets, graphics, and animations for use in Unity3D
  • Create 3D models within specifications and ensure graphic assets fully satisfy the requirements specified
  • Assist with integrating 3D models and assets into the established development pipeline and Unity3D
  • Demonstrate 3D modeling and game development best practices and continuous process improvement
  • Support Quality Assurance during product testing and respond to and resolve asset-related issues or defects
  • Attend regular meetings with development team and subject matter experts to review the status of work in progress, discuss new tasks, and to establish targets for completion of specific items
  • Perform other art, graphic, or multimedia tasks as related to development


  • Software: Proficient in Autodesk 3dsmax, Adobe Photoshop, and Unity 3D
  • 3D Skills: Experienced in Hard Surface Real-time Modeling, UV Unwrapping, Animation
  • 2D Skills: Experienced in Photorealistic Texturing, Real-time Material Texture Maps, Photo Manipulation
  • Photography Skills: Experienced in digital photography/editing for capturing and manipulating reference data
    • Strong portfolio showcasing best, recent, or most relevant work [1]



  • Desirable Skills/Experience:

    • Game Engine Skills: Realistic Level Design, Real-time Lighting, Character Editing & Animation, Layer/File Structure, Procedural Textures/Materials, Shader Functionality, UGUI User Interfaces
    • Other Graphic Disciplines: including: Character Modeling, Animation, UI/UX, Storyboarding, Multimedia Video
    • Reality Capture: Utilizing reference data including 3D Scan Data, Point Clouds, and Photogrammetry
    • Technical Art Skills: Including Scripting, Tool Development, Shader Development, and Procedural Materials
    • Experience in other Game Engines such as Unreal, CryEngine, VBS3, etc.
    • Experience developing Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR)
    • Experience with Task and Issue tracking software such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence
      • Proficiency with Revision Control Software such as SVN, Git, Perforce
      • Familiarity with Military Aviation either in training content or through military service

      • Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment
