Description:

We are currently seeking an Ammunition Technician/Instructor to support the operations at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. The successful candidate will provide overall ammunition management support for all FORSCOM tenant units IMCOM, United States Army Reserve, Army National Guard, United States Marines Corps, and non-tenant units at JBLM requiring Training, Operational, Test, New Equipment Training (NET) and Combat Load ammunition from JBLM or Yakima Training Center (YTC) Ammunition Supply Points (ASPs). 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall ammunition management and supervision in support for all FORSCOM tenant units
  • Supports requirements determination, forecasting, managing authorizations and usages
  • Provides technical expertise, training and the installation point of contact for the Department of the Army’s Automated Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS) Identify BD opportunities
  • Responsible for Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Ammunition Handler Certification Course, (AHCC),
  • Directly responsible for the maintenance of a local database of all Ammunition Handler Certification classes

Requirements:

  • Minimum a two (2) year college degree or three years of college credit from an accredited college or university and five years’ experience
  • 5 years’ experience with installation ammunition management, ammunition supply operations and certification and transportation of ammunition
  • Security Clearance
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Capable of working in multidiscipline team environment
