Description:

ECS is seeking a Research Analyst II to support a multi-disciplinary team in the research and application of training related technologies including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), Extended Reality (XR), Haptics, Game Base Training, Simulation, and Hardware Integration.  This position will coordinate closely with other Researchers, Principal Investigators, Functional Managers, Developers, Instructional Designers, and Customers to develop research protocols, plans, use cases, collect data, and analyze the results.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts scientific literature reviews
  • Develops research plans, study plans, data collection plans, site visit plans, and trip reports
  • Creates survey instruments for usability studies, training effectiveness evaluations, and other experiments
  • Conducts data collections events
  • Compiles data and conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Manages documentation and reporting throughout research projects
  • Conducts research proposals and final reports
  • Leads cross functional team through analysis, design, development, integration, and testing

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ professional work experience in research field
  • Bachelor’s degree required, data analytics, psychology, human factors, instructional design or related field. Master’s degree Preferred.
  • Certification for CITI Collaborative Instructional Training Initiative for Human Subjects Research preferred
  • Experienced in applied research methods
  • Familiar with technologies including simulation, gaming, virtual reality, information technology, etc.
  • Familiar with Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capability, and desire to work within a collaborative team environment
  • Able to work independently and on multiple projects at a time
  • Occasional travel is required
