ECS will be partnering with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as part of the Joint Innovation Fund (JIF) Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Grant to expand the capabilities of the VA Virtual Medical Center (VMC) for its Whole Health campaign.
Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS) has been selected to present the paper, Addressing Tactical Combat Casualty Care in Synthetic Training Environments, at vIITSEC next week. Co-authored by Richard Madrid, ECS Vice President of Global Services and Joanne Barnieu, ECS Director of Instructional Science, the paper outlines a multi-year research effort on the use of haptics within virtual reality (VR) environments.
October 12, 2020 - Orlando - ECS will demonstrate the U.S. Army’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care Simulation 2020 (TC3Sim 2020) at the Joint Medical Modeling & Simulation Expo, presented virtually by the Defense Health Agency on October 15th.
ECS has recently delivered an enhanced version of the U.S. Army’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care Simulation, TC3Sim. The latest upgraded version, TC3Sim 2020, will be shown at the Joint Medical Modeling & Simulation Expo, presented virtually by the Defense Health Agency on October 15.
Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS) has been awarded a direct to Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) project with the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to design and develop haptics-based mixed reality training systems within the U.S Army’s Synthetic Training Environment (STE).
July 9, 2020 - Orlando, FL – ECS has been awarded a Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS) Train, Advise, and Assist contract to provide global services and training to Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and to the Norwegian Armed Forces (NAF), in support of their National Defense and Security objectives. ECS will be partnering with Pilgrims Group USA, LLC (PGUSA) on this project.
July 8, 2020 - Orlando, FL –Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS) founder and CEO/president, Waymon Armstrong, has been named a finalist for the renowned Pioneer Award in the MS&T 2020 Industry Simulation & Training Awards, presented by Halldale Group.
June 25, 2020: Orlando, FL – ECS contributes its time, talent, and treasure throughout the year to various local and professional organizations; however, in light of these unprecedented times, the team decided to find additional meaningful opportunities to commemorate their 23rd anniversary rather than celebrating with a party upon reopening. Team members chose to support the COVID-19 Response Scholarship Fund, coordinated by the National Center for Simulation; Feed the Need Florida; Lift Orlando; and the Food Bank of North Alabama, as well as donating meals to military service members and first responders at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) /San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) and their office manager’s endeavors to sew masks for team members, military service members, and their families.
June 1, 2020: Orlando, FL – ECS will provide its Emergency Management Staff Trainer (EMST) to any local, state, or federal government agency at no charge, beginning on June 1, the official start of the hurricane season, to assist with hurricane preparedness training during these challenging times.
