April 26, 2018 – (Huntsville, Ala.) – Mick Golson, Chief Operating Officer for Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS), announced the promotion of Jeffrey (Jeff) Huber to Director of Operations for ECS’ Huntsville office. A retired U.S. Army pilot with over 24 years of aviation leadership, Huber has been with ECS since 2017, and leads the team to support military and government clients with products and services, including engineering services, software development, 3D visualization, augmented reality/virtual reality, advanced learning technologies, and subject matter expertise.
Golson said: “Jeff is an experienced and innovative leader and a master aviator. His extensive aviation and flight experience, paired with his problem-solving and critical thinking skills, make him the ideal director to provide leadership to our Huntsville team as we expand our capabilities in the aerospace and aviation sectors.”
Huber is a subject matter expert (SME) on the CH-47D/F Chinook, and served over 16 years as a CH-47 D/F Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP). After 31 years of military service, he retired from the U.S. Army as a Chief Warrant Officer Five (CW5) where he served as a Maintenance Examiner, Instructor Pilot, Instrument Examiner, Battalion quality assurance officer and Brigade Standardization Instructor Pilot/Government Flight Representative. He blends his technical expertise with his risk management background to analyze clients’ needs, and to incorporate those needs into successful training services and relevant technology products.
Huber holds a bachelor’s degree in professional aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and throughout his career took numerous courses related to leadership, training, and flight certifications.
