June 25, 2020: Orlando, FL – ECS contributes its time, talent, and treasure throughout the year to various local and professional organizations; however, in light of these unprecedented times, the team decided to find additional meaningful opportunities to commemorate their 23rd anniversary rather than celebrating with a party upon reopening. Team members chose to support the COVID-19 Response Scholarship Fund, coordinated by the National Center for Simulation; Feed the Need Florida; Lift Orlando; and the Food Bank of North Alabama, as well as donating meals to military service members and first responders at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) /San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) and their office manager’s endeavors to sew masks for team members, military service members, and their families.

June 1, 2020: Orlando, FL – ECS will provide its Emergency Management Staff Trainer (EMST) to any local, state, or federal government agency at no charge, beginning on June 1, the official start of the hurricane season, to assist with hurricane preparedness training during these challenging times.

May 28, 2020 – Huntsville, AL – Awarded a contract extension by the US PEO Aviation in its PM Cargo office for additional maintenance training and modernization upgrade programs, ECS will provide additional interactive Army Aviation and maintenance training programs and coursework for the CH-47F Chinook to further improve our soldiers’ capabilities.

May 20, 2020 – Huntsville, AL – The U.S Army PEO Aviation PM Apache office has awarded ECS a contract extension for additional upgrades to its aviation maintenance training and modernization programs. The ECS Huntsville team will provide training solutions to enhance aviation maintainers’ capabilities on the new fleet.

February 25, 2020 - Orlando, FL - ECS has been awarded a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) technical project with the Simulation and Training Technology Center (STTC), a division of the Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Research Laboratory’s (ARL) Human Research and Engineering (HRED) Directorate. The objective of this five-year program is to analyze, develop, and evaluate the use of haptics technologies in simulated immersive training environments.

February 20, 2020 - (Orlando, FL) – Awarded by the USAF as a one-year contract, this innovative PACE project supports organic learning and innovation within United States Air Force (USAF) squadrons and develops newly appointed command team members for their leadership roles.

December 12, 2019 - (Orlando, FL) – John Jansen has been promoted to Director of Contracts. Jansen has been invaluable since he joined the firm almost a year ago and continues to provide extensive professional experience and a portfolio of specialized skills in government and military contracts, subcontracts and procurement. He will oversee implementation of the firm’s contracts and subcontracts and assist with other related duties, as needed.

November 25, 2019 - Orlando, FL – Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS) will showcase its integrated training program, Project Manager Cargo (PM Cargo), which improves the Army Aviation capabilities for the CH-47F Chinook at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando on December 2-5.

November 22, 2019 - (Orlando, FL) – Joanne Barnieu has joined ECS as its Director of Instructional Science. Barnieu will lead the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) team and projects while providing integral research regarding the use of innovative instructional strategies and technology-based solutions.
