June 15, 2021 – (Orlando, FL) –Waymon Armstrong, CEO/president of Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS) announced that the training and technology solutions firm which he founded in Orlando, FL in 1997, recently celebrated its 24th Anniversary. The company marked the occasion during its quarterly All Hands meeting by recognizing team members who epitomize the ECS core value, “Inspiring,” by contributing to local non-profit organizations, and by giving employees a paid day to devote to community service.

Armstrong explains: “It’s not what we do, it’s who we do it for, and who we work with that has made all the difference. We are proud to deliver innovative global training and technology solutions to our Warfighters, First Responders, and industry partners. Thank you to our amazing team and wonderful clients; we’re excited about the next 24 years.”

ECS team members selected Software Engineer Matthew Becchio, Defense Support of Civil Authorities Instructor Brent Harrington, and Art Director Gary Haus to receive the newly instated Core Value Focus Award. Each of these gentlemen represents one of the company’s core values, “inspiring,” which is defined by ECS as “motivated to make a difference and inspired to improve the world through lifelong learning and service to others.”

In addition, the entire team worked together to nominate and then select community organizations that inspire them to give back in their local communities: Families Together NC, Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, March of Dimes – March for Babies, Matthew’s Hope Ministries, Orlando Shakes, Rebuild Globally, Samaritan Village, and Valiant Air Command Warbird Air Museum. ECS contributed to each group on behalf of its team members, clients, and partners.

Also, in recognition of its anniversary, the firm instituted a new policy added a company-paid day of community service. Each employee may now take the equivalent of one day per year to support a local charitable organization or gift their day to another team member.

Mick Golson, chief operating officer of ECS adds: “As ECS continues to grow and we look forward to celebrating 25+ years, we want to strengthen our corporate culture of giving back. We are passionate about our work, but we are also committed to enhancing the communities in which we live, work, and play.”
