The U.S. Army Program Executive Office – Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation has expanded its Air Force Medical Modeling and Simulation Training (AFMMAST) contract with ECS to incorporate Navy Graduate Medical Education training. The expanded program has now been named the Medical Modeling and Simulation Training (MMAST) and will integrate the training needs of the U.S. Navy.

The overall goal remains to develop and use advanced learning technologies and methodologies that improve medical education and training for healthcare teams and patients.

Under the contract, an ECS-led team provides services to both the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) and the Navy Medicine and Education Training Command from their co-located Central Program Office in San Antonio, Texas. The program management office will oversee contractor support at more than 40 Simulation Centers and Medical Treatment Facilities both inside and outside the contiguous United States.
