Nov. 6, 2018: Orlando, FL – ECS will highlight cockpit capabilities and future upgrades to the CH-47F Chinook at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando on November 26 – 30. The company was selected this year to design maintenance programs and upgrades for the aircraft by the U.S. Army Program Executive Office – Aviation (PEO Aviation) in the Project Manager Cargo (PM Cargo) and Project Manager Apache (PM Apache) offices. Jeffrey Huber, Vice President of Operations, Huntsville, is leading both projects from the ECS Huntsville office.

PM Cargo upgrades currently in development include modernizing the CH-47F Chinook trainers with significant structural, software and systems updates. Because changes will require additional user training, ECS is developing a customized program to ensure pilots, crewmembers, and maintainers understand the differences between the Multi Year II Configured Chinook, which features enhanced fuel system and improved avionics. The Chinook Block II CH-47F upgrade provides greater lift capacity and strengthened features.

ECS has a long history of supporting military aviation contracts, and it opened an office in Huntsville, Alabama last year to enhance services offered to its aviation and aerospace clients.

Huber said: “With more than 90 years of combined staff experience and service in Army Aviation, we are proud to contribute to our Warfighters’ capabilities. ECS project managers, subject matter experts and instructional designers support PEO Aviation with customized training solutions and innovative technology for the challenges that today’s Warfighters face.”

Waymon Armstrong, ECS CEO and president, said: “Our demonstration at I/ITSEC will highlight how the Army is modernizing its capabilities for aircraft that have a long-standing history of success in the field, while simultaneously ensuring the aircraft and Warfighters continue to perform at maximum efficiency.”

I/ITSEC is the world’s largest training, simulation and education conference, where each year in Orlando the latest in technology and training innovations are showcased.
