Orlando – April 17, 2018 – Waymon Armstrong, ECS CEO & president, announced the promotion of Teresa Sturges to Vice President of Finance. As the company’s controller since 2014, Sturges brings over 20 years of financial and business expertise to her new role in this Orlando-based company that has been a leader in the simulation and training industry since its inception in 1997.

Armstrong adds: “Teresa has always been an asset to our team, as well as the community. Her reputation in the industry is exemplary, and her analytical approach to best practices will lead us into the next level of innovation. This will enable our team to continue providing relevant technology and training solutions to our military, first responders, healthcare professionals, and other commercial clients.”

Sturges began her career in customer service and understands the importance of meeting clients’ needs. Combining that experience with her knowledge in accounting and process improvement, her emphasis will be to enhance ECS’ strong internal measures, while maintaining solid relationships with customers and partners to deliver effective training and technology solutions to ECS’ portfolio of military, government and private sector clients.

As controller, Sturges worked closely with all internal teams to ensure financial processes were followed to deliver positive results for clients, and to unify and benefit the entire organization. Her esteemed reputation as a senior accountant and senior financial analyst in the Central Florida modeling, simulation and technology (MS&T) industry demonstrates that she has strong regional and technical connections.

Sturges states: “I am excited for my new role and to continue my work with the ECS team as we develop stronger, customized training solutions for clients. By continually streamlining and improving our internal systems, we will deliver even more innovative products and enhanced services, all from which our clients will benefit.

Sturges holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Central Florida and a MBA in management from Rollins College – Crummer Graduate School of Business.
